Saturn’s Firefly is Hotaru. When you combine the words tomoe (Saturn) and hotaru (Firefly), you get A Saturn Firefly.
Mythology:
Cronos murdered his father Uranus and attempted, but failed, to murder his offspring. Rheia had five children, and Cronos devoured them all as soon as they were born. When Rheia gave birth to her sixth child, Zeus, she deceived Kronos by giving him a stone instead of the infant. Cronos did not discover the deceit until it was too late. Zeus attacked Cronos and kicked him so hard that he vomited the other, fully formed gods: Hades, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, and Poseidon. Cronos is a harvest deity who is also linked to time. He had a knife with a sickle-like curvature, and this was the tool he used to murder Uranus.
Our depictions of Father Time and the Grim Reaper with a scythe pay tribute to Kronos.
Both of these more recent characters are sometimes accompanied by a crow. According to Robert Graves, the term Cronos and the deity may have meant “crow,” but were likely mistaken with the related Latin “cornix” or Greek “corone” meaning crow.
Saturn’s alchemical sign is the curved curvature of the knife discussed previously, which may alternatively be interpreted as a crescent moon. The moon has been connected with harvest for a variety of reasons, which I will not discuss. Because of the conclusion of the agricultural season, harvest was also connected with mortality.
Cronus was associated with the Roman deity Saturn. Saturn, the Sower, was a deity of agriculture as well. Saturnalia, the Roman god’s feast, was celebrated from December 17 to the 19th and was very popular.
