Sailor Venus’ protector is Artemis. He is a cat sent from the Moon Kingdom to assist Sailor Venus in her search for the long-lost Princess Serenity, until it is discovered that Sailor Moon is the princess.
Mythology: Selene (Greek for “moon”) was the Greeks’ first moon goddess. Luna (Latin for moon) is the Roman equivalent of Selene, and Diana is the Roman equivalent of Artemis… therefore the names of the three cats (Luna, Artemis, and Diana).
